What a Celebration!

Of the 31 graduates, 10 were present for graduation and two more Tony and Sandi Furtado from Martinez, CA) came for the banquet and returned home Saturday morning for their daughter’s wedding.

Since Jorge Morelle’s son was graduating from high school that very same weekend, his wife stayed at home to celebrate there while Jorge and his pastor and group leader John Waring and wife Joyce came to Des Moines to celebrate Jorge’s graduation. The Morelles family plans to vacation together in Puerto Rico to celebrate their father-son graduations.

We also congratulate the group leaders who presented their groups for graduation:

Debbie Robertson, Steve Magoon, Lana LaRue, Phillip Mink, María Vera, Mike Lumbard, Doyle Wegner, and Dennis Campbell.

Guillermo Powell from LOGOS Bible Software quoted large portions of Scripture from Ephesians, Revelation and Matthew. “He sounded just like Paul (John, Jesus) speaking to us” was the comment we heard.

“The best music we’ve ever had at an INSTE convention” was the consensus last weekend. The Praise Team of Amor Viviente (Living Love) Church from Peoria, Illinois, led by Pastors Jason and Maria Hatfield, was awesome Spirit-anointed bilingual worship. INSTE partners with that church and other Amor Viviente churches to make disciples and develop leaders. We are so proud of them and all our INSTE groups throughout the nation!

PRICE CHANGES AS OF JULY 1st

Unlike gas and food prices, INSTE prices are holding steady with two exceptions:

Level One: Shipping and Handling will increase $2 per book, to $6. At both levels, shipping and handling is charged whether or not a student orders a book since each student receives tests, evaluations, etc.

Level Two: Tuition for the Degree program will increase $10, from $30 to $40 per credit hour. (Prices at comparable programs at other accredited institutions begin at $100 per credit hour and go up from there.)

The Diploma tuition stays the same, as well as all other fees at both levels.

It’s Easy to Begin a Group

Need to certify a new leader or recertify? It’s easy.

1. Download the application at inste.edu/resources.htm. Click on Distance Leader Training and on the level you need. Open the form and print it. Fill it out and mail or fax it to INSTE (515-289-9201).
   OR call—we’ll fax or mail the application to you.
   
   
2. We’ll send you the updated Group Leader Manual to study. It usually takes about a week to complete. Then you’ll take the enclosed test, proctored by someone in your church, and send it to us.
   
   
3. We’ll correct your exam, and call you to answer any questions you may have and give you tips on recruitment.
   
   
4. We’ll mail your leader certification to your church to be presented to you publicly, so you have an opportunity to begin forming your group.
