A NEW SCHOOL YEAR, A NEW LOOK!

This new format is designed specifically for our e-letters. One of the great advantages of the e-letter is that we can link you directly to the INSTE web-site from this page.

Last year our goal was accreditation. We’re still shouting hallelujah for God’s favor in achieving that goal. This year the goal is digitization. The world is digital, and we’re going there!

We’re using a brand new database, thanks to our IT Director, Al Barnes. In the near future, the Lord willing, students will be able to access their grades and academic records through a secure connection to the web-site.

A web-site makeover is also in the works which will add many more features. Our goal is to use the web-site as the center of the INSTE universe.

We are excited about this new venture. INSTE will continue to be print-based for those who need it. However, by going digital we will be able to add flexibility to our program without sacrificing any of our core principles and values. We welcome your comments and suggestions and we ask for your support in prayer that the Lord provide the resources needed to reach that goal.

We’re anticipating a wonderful, God-filled year with many advances for His Kingdom as we work together to make disciples and develop leaders to fulfill the Great Commission.


ATTENTION! Group ID#s are now Class ID#s for each Course

With our new Database comes a change. The GROUP ID# has been replaced with a unique CLASS ID#, which will be generated by the database. You do not have to do anything.

Your Church ID# will stay the same, but every time you lead a course, your group will receive a unique Class ID number. For example, the church IA009 has a Discipleship 1 group led by John Christian. His group is assigned the Class ID# 283654. The next semester he leads Discipleship 2 with the same students. The database assigns the Class ID# 384799. The same is true in Level 2. EACH COURSE in Level 2 will receive a unique Class ID# each time you lead a group. For example, Church Leadership (Class ID# 781265) Ecclesiology (Class ID# 284653), Church History 1 (689712), etc. This change makes it easier for us to keep track of groups and students.


SUBMITTING LEVEL TWO FINAL EXAMS On CD

This past year we asked you to send in the final exams on CD, which helps accelerate the grading process. During this process we learned a few things. Please let your group know about these guidelines:

1. Use only Microsoft WORD (not works). 12 pt Times Roman, double-spaced.

2. ONE document containing all four essay questions strictly following the format in the book.

3. Title the exam file as follows: Last Name, First Name, Student ID# - Sem.__ Example: Doe, John, 28647 – Sem. 4

4. Do not finalize the CD so that we can put the corrected exam on it and return it to the student.
