What does it mean?

Accreditation means that INSTE meets the standards set by the DETC for accredited institutions of higher education. It means public recognition in the broader academic community of INSTE’s quality of education. Accreditation means that all our “programs and policies embody standards of good practice.”

The value of accreditation depends on the association awarding it. That’s why we chose DETC, which is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency. In fact, DETC ’s long history makes it the premier accrediting agency in distance education in the United States. Check the web site at www.detc.edu.

We thank the Lord for His favor bestowed upon INSTE. May we always strive to live and labor according to His Standards. Today we feel His smile upon us.

Notes of Appreciation

Thank you for your e-mails in response to our urgent call for prayer for INSTE. You warmed our hearts by your responses and your commitment to pray for us.

We are grateful, too, for your positive response to the changes we made in the past months. I think you will agree that the changes have made INSTE a better institute. Thank you for taking time to study the supplement and return the exam.

We also wish to express appreciation to the churches that have returned the Church Covenant Contract. We are partners with you for the fulfillment of the unique vision God has given you.

Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us;
And confirm for us the work of our hands;
Yes, confirm the work of our hands.
Psalm 90:17

He has, indeed, confirmed the work of our hands.

Character Counts

In our trip to Spain, a former student said to me: “You taught us so much Bible and theology, but what most influenced me was your character.” I am constantly reminded of the importance of our influence upon the students in our groups. What they learn from us is not so much “knowing” but the doing and being so essential to Christian life and service. Let us lead by example.

Did you know.?

… that a person can study Level One for only 64 ¢ a day?

That’s even less than the McDonald’s Value Menu—and it’s not fattening! In fact, Level One builds spiritual muscle, because it is health food—not fast food—for the soul.

… that your group may be eligible for the book discount?

If your Level One group enrolled and studied between July 1 and Dec. 31, 2007, you may request the discount for your continuing group.

… that on the DETC survery of students, 96% expressed complete satisfaction with their INSTE studies?

Thank you, INSTE family, for your show of support.
